Booking tickets for sold out show

I have been to the theatre and they only had top price tickets avaliable for the night i wanted to see it and can't find any avaliable online then came across this site and there are a range of tickets avaliable for that night=how is this possible when it is sold out at the theatre?

The theatre box office itself isn't big enough to handle all bookings for such a huge show. It is much better for business to cast the net wider and outsource some of the booking load. So they allocate out a certain number of seats to other companies/ticket agencies, such as this one, then they sell them for the theatre. Or companies can buy them off the theatre and sell them on directly. But beware, there are many phonies and crooks online so look fo the star logo (it's on this site). A star with a tick in it - means they are a registered and accredited ticket retailer. Hope that clears it up!
