can anyone who has sat in the upper stalls in row A tell me if the restricted view really do effect the performance?

The upper circle of the Adelphi is quite high and a safety rail at the front can affect the view from the first three rows, but it's always worth considering the price difference. Going for restricted view, you're best off in the front row for a real bargain as you have more chance of getting into a position to maximise your view.
