About Priscilla Queen of the Desert
The Australian smash hit musical has flounced its way into London, and performances will begin at the Palace Theatre on 10 March 2009. The cast includes pop heart-throb, recent I’m a Celebrity star and Neighbours legend Jason Donovan in a starring role as drag queen Mitzi del Bra. Australian stage actor Tony Sheldon, who played Bernadette in the original Sydney cast will reprise his role at the Palace.
With its heady mix of comedy, drama, emotion and a soundtrack of such camp classics as I’ve Never Been To Me, Don’t Leave Me This Way, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Hot Stuff, the show promises to be a huge hit as it has been in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. Priscilla’s success is also catching on worldwide, with further productions in development in Toronto and Stockholm.
