The Tiger Who Came to Tea is based on the much-loved illustrated children's book by Judith Kerr. A young girl named Sophie is enjoying afternoon tea with her mother when they are interrupted by the arrival of a mischievous tiger that invites himself in, eats all the food and drinks everything he can lay his big paws on. The story has been adapted for stage by the children's playwright David Wood, whose credits include Fantastic Mr Fox, The Gingerbread Man, BFG, The Witches, Meg and Mog, Spot and Babe the Sheep Pig. The show includes plenty of songs and audience participation and is great fun for children aged three and above at the Lyric Theatre.
