Film legend Debbie Reynolds is coming to the West End next April for a limited 10 date engagement. The MGM star is famed for being in films ‘Singing in the Rain’, ‘The Unsinkable Molly Brown’ and ‘That’s Entertainment.’ Reynolds, who boasts Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, is celebrating more than 50 years in show business.
Celebrating her career Reynolds is bringing her award winning one woman show, ‘Debbie Reynolds Alive and Fabulous’ to the Apollo Theatre. The show will use old movie clips as she reminisces about her life, her many husbands and her incredible career in the golden age of song and dance. The variety show will see Reynolds do impressions of Barbra Streisand, Mae West, Katherine Hepburn and Jimmy Stewart.
Discovered as a fresh faced 16-year-old, Reynolds rose to fame playing perky, wholesome young women in MGM musicals and is one of the few actresses to have danced with both Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.
