If you’re looking to go to a Friday or Saturday performance, check availability first and make sure you book a good few months in advance.
Order your drinks for the interval before the show. The stalls bar at the Aldwych theatre is more like a function room with only one entrance, so it takes quite some time to get in, let alone to join the queue and reach the bar.

Aldwych Theatre
The auditorium is on three tiers: Stalls, Dress Circle and Upper Circle. As can be seen in the seating plan below, the Stalls are split by two aisle running back to front, but only as far forward as row HH. As the Aldwych Theatre stage is not wide, the view from the side sections, created by the aisles, is good. There are no sidelined views in the Stalls. The Dress Circle offers excellent views of the stage. The slip seats to the front and side of the Dress Circle do not directly face the stage, but leaning forward slightly solves the problem. The last row to the rear of the Dress Circle is affected by the overhang of the Upper Circle (row M). Although not obvious in the seating plan, the Upper Circle has a curvature causing some seats towards the rear to be classified as restricted view. The view from the front rows is good, although seats in the first row are affected by a handrail.
