The flamboyant Don Giovanni is a serial seducer who is always seeking the sport of another conquest. His long suffering servant, Leporello, faithfully covers for his master as a growing number of people vow their revenge, not least the beautiful Donna Anna whose father was murdered in cold blood by the callous playboy. As Giovanni continues to pursue one woman after another, it seems he will outwit even his most outraged victims, until he encounters a supernatural force from which even he cannot cheat or escape. Don Giovanni is the first of three Mozart operas written by the great Venetian librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte. The other two works are The Marriage of Figaro and Cos Fan Tutte.
