Hairspray - London reviews from critics, the press and previous bookers.
We say...
Hairspray is a tribute to American optimism, brash and colourful, yet not afraid to poke fun at itself. Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan's script is gag-laden and fast moving. The costumes and set are louder than an Andy Warhol print. The music whips by in a blur, with some foot-tapping numbers that give every main performer a chance to shine. Hairspray beats with excitement as well as righteousness.

We had a really enjoyable evening at the hairspray show, Brian Conelly was really funny and entertaining especially when he was dancing with Micky Dolenz. at one point he was struggling to contol his fit of the giggles, which in turn made it funnier to watch. The singing was amazing in particular Sharon D Clarke who has such a powerful voice, both of us said she was the star of the show. We would definately reccomend this show to all ages.
