We had a really enjoyable evening at the hairspray show, Brian Conelly was really funny and entertaining especially when he was dancing with Micky Dolenz. at one point he was struggling to contol his fit of the giggles, which in turn made it funnier to watch. The singing was amazing in particular Sharon D Clarke who has such a powerful voice, both of us said she was the star of the show. We would definately reccomend this show to all ages.

Absolutely awesome. There aren't enough superlatives for this show. Hadn't been to the theatre for ages, took my 8 year old son and we both left London singing and dancing. A real feel-good night out that left us buzzing for days. Loved it!

great show,great cast,i was upset that the seats i payed for in the stalls were not where on the layout,and although very close to the stage two big heads in front so could not enjoy the show fully.

Good cast and lots of fun

I thought the production was fantastic, the songs are catchy and the dancing brilliant. I was worried about seeing the current cast as I thought maybe the original cast would have been better but they were just as good if not better! Brian Connelly in the role of Edna was great and had me laughing out loud at times.

Listen to the soundtrack before you go so you are familiar with the songs that way you will enjoy it a lot more!

Not having seen the movie, I was unsure as to what to expect. Although I found it slow to get going initially, it soon evolved into an energetic and thought-provoking production with a poignant storyline, uplifting music, entertaining dance routines and a good measure of comedy. Thoroughly recommended for all budding superstars in need of inspiration and encouragement!

The vibrant and charismatic cast mixed with the outstanding sets, and brilliant costumes creates a show that will not only make you roll around with laughter, but marvel in the creativity and talent presented.

Everyone i went to the show with loved it, and i think anyone would be hardpushed not to laugh when you see Brian Conley dressed as a women singing, dancing and kissing his onstage husband!

I absoultely loved Brian Conley and the humour he brought to the Edna role. This show is well worth a revisit with the new cast and has a more humourous, cheeky aspect to the show. Chloe Hart has a brilliant voice and boundless energy as Tracy. All in all, a spectacular over-the-top fun night out !

What a fantastic show! The music is catchy fun and familiar in style and the singing was exceptional in standard across the board from the principals to the chorus. Not one weak link in the whole cast. The costumes and wigs are like nothing else, absolutely brilliant - colourful, bright, and create a really original fun look to the whole production.

Brian Conley and the other new members of the cast are a great asset - wildly entertaining and all very talented. My face still hurts from smiling so much!

You could maybe watch the film either before of after, it might help you/your kids to know the songs before hand.

I would also make sure you take a map, some people can find the Shaftesbury Theatre tricky to find, so go prepared.

Also - make a night of it! The Creation restaurant is great and near by and it means you can be there in plenty of time, relax, have some good food and a drink, and use the bathroom beforehand (not many in the theatre).

All in all a guaranteed evening of contagious fun. A brilliant night for all the family, you will dance out of the theatre!

I love Hairspray the film, so to see it live in front of me was great. The songs are extremely catchy and I loved the dancing. The attitude of the main girl Tracey is great, she has so much energy throughout the whole performance. Bryn Conley is amazing he looks stunning and brings the audience into fits of laughter with this personality shinning through. The musical has some scenes slightly different with certain scenes in a different order which is great as you don’t know what happens next if you have seen the film before. Defiantly one worth to see!!

Brain Conley was excellent, playing the part as a woman opposed to a drag/pantomime dame. In my opinion he is far better than Michael Ball and brings more comedy to the role! This was my second time of viewing and it not only lived up to my memory of seeing it for the first time, but surpassed it!

The new cast were terrific. Fabulous in fact! Brian Conley who plays Edna Turnblad is a comedy sensation with surprisingly excellent vocals. He brought the house down with his duet 'You're timeless to me' sung with Wilbur.

A fabulous feel-good show with serious political and moral undertones which existed in the time of 1950's America.

Really colourful costumes and particularly good choreagraphy and musical score. A show for all the family although not recommended for children aged around 6 or 7 even though will admit from 3 years plus. Reason for this is that the content will be lost on them and the poignant moments might lose their interest altogether. We had v small children behind us who wriggled and were restless throughout.

This show is still one of the biggest, brightest shows in West End and the new cast members fit in perfectly. Brian Conley puts a whole new spin on Edna, making her grumpier and funnier, and he has an impressive voice too. Liam Tamne is even better than Ben James Ellis as Link and Chloe Hart is a wonderful Tracy. It was my first time seeing Verity Rushworth as Penny and she was hilarious, with a stunning voice that I just didn't expect, but it was Sandra Marvin as Motormouth Maybelle who really stole the show. Everything is brilliant about this show... the cast, the production and the music. I'm not bored for a single minute, I love every single song and the whole thing seems to be over so quickly.

I went to see hairpray and took my 12year old daughter. We both loved it! The music and dancing were great and of course Michael Ball played the part brilliantly. Everybody was on their feet dancing at the end and we came out of the theatre smiling as it's a real feel-good show!!

We went last night (15/3) on the spur of the moment. Managed to get rear stalls seats (row S). My wife, daughter (7) and I had a great view. Curtain was late o going up I guess due to a small technicality, bu the show openened 15 mins late in true style. Te show is packed with great music and effervecent energy from the whole cast. A couple of the principals were absent, but their covers were excellent. YOu cannot fail to come out felling better than when you went in. Fantastic!

Very high energy cast

Thoroughly enjoyed the show - a real feel good presentation with lots of colourful costumes, dance routines and singing - and Michael Ball was fantastic. Unfortunately the seat I had was directly behind a couple of gentlemen who sat higher than I did, so it was difficult to get a good view. The gentleman directly in fron of me sat elsewhere in the second half as he could not see either, and this improved it for me. The seats are not tiered sufficiently in the back rows of the stalls.

Hairspray is an outstanding production. The singing is incredible -I have never heard such powerful voices. The dancing is wonderful and the cast is brilliant. Suitable for all ages and genders.

Over all this was a really good night with some stand out performances, but there were moments when it seemed to lose the quality and momentum and for just a few minutes lapse into amateur panto

A very good show we had a great time. The only complaint we had was our seating in the front row circle had obscured viewing caused by the railings.

No songs that we recognised but a very uplifting show.

This show is a must see, especially now Michael Ball has been joined buy Nigel Planer playing Wilbur, the second half sceen featuring these two, was just fantastic, very funny but you had to be there as it was very ablib.

My reccomendation however is, to get the best seats you can afford as we booked last minute, and were as far back as it was possible to be in the theatre, but the binoculars helped.

A fantastic show that has so much energy, I didn’t know the songs before I went but it didn’t matter as by the end I was singing ‘Good morning Baltimore’ with the rest of them. The sets and choreography were brilliant. Tracy was amazing, not sure what she’s been in before but she was really capturing. I would recommend this show to anyone who wants to se a high quality West End production.

Great show which appeals to all ages!

It helped I had seen part of the film before, not many words mostly singing and dancing but good fun entertainment. No fancy backdrops just talented people doing what they do. Good jolly atmosphere, feel good show.

UK ticket staff extremely friendly and caring to ensure we had the tickets for the show, due to post problems because of the snow

loved the show. had a real feel good factor. cast looked as they were having a ball. none of the audience could sit still in their seats. most had to get up and have a jig. standing ovation said it all

The show was unique..I didn't know the storyline or the music before I went. Our seats were very near the front of the stalls, almost too near some might say. Everyone in the cast gave 100% always focused. michael Ball and the other 'main' stars were amazing. The musical directoe was within touching distance of where we sat...he was amazing to watch too!

The whole process of ordering and recieving the tickets was very straight forward and the show was a real "feel good show" and we thouroughly enjoyed it.

I have never been to a musical before but this was amazing all the dancing and singing i would go and see it again tomorrow.

The cast put everything into the matinee performance and the audience responded. Everyone both sides of the footlights had a great time.

I loved the show but my 8 year old son thought it was only so-so - maybe this is not really a performance for boys. Just to note that my son has been to see other theatre shows and loved them (Lion King, Cirque Du Soleil, Joseph).

This was the second time I have seen this show and as soon as it finished I wanted to go again. Absolutely my favourite show ever, the singing and dancing is phenomenal. Such a feel good show.
