Holding the Man

Award Winning Australian Play

Teenage love rarely runs smoothly but the path becomes increasingly rocky if you’re a gay boy in a 1970s all-male Australian high school. Tim falls in love with the captain of the football team and despite the odds the two become close. Adapted from the book by Tim Conigrave, ‘Holding the Man’ is based on his life.

A funny, heart-warming and moving story, ‘Holding the Man’ has already won many drama awards and played to 4 sell-out seasons in Sydney. Recreated for the UK by Australian Director David Berthold, ‘Holding the Man’ stars Jane Turner, from TV’s much-loved ‘Kath and Kim’, who is making her West End debut with the show.
