Horrible Histories-Barmy Britain is the world premiere of the gloriously gory and disgusting history books on the West End stage. Written by Terry Deary, the show takes many of the best bits of the illustrated series, including the stories of Henry VIII, the Gunpowder Plot, Florence Nightingale and World War I. Packed with nasty nuggets and foul facts aplenty, this is sure to be an entertaining education for inquisitive kids. The Birmingham Stage Company presents the production during the day at the Garrick Theatre, with Chicago continuing to play in the evenings.
