The London Dungeon transports its visitors to some of the darkest and most frightening moments in the capital’s history. Gruesome live characters serve as guides in the depths of the dungeon, taking victims through some of London’s most grisly and macabre historical events and cultural phenomena, including the gory career of Jack the Ripper in Whitechapel, the Great Fire of London, Sweeney Todd’s Fleet Street barber shop and a boat ride through Traitors’ Gate.
Grusome and scary, while hilarious and a tiny bit educational, the London Dungeon is a thrilling journey of bumps, jumps and special effects. The thrilling ride culminates with execution by hanging on the terrifying Extremis: Drop Ride to Doom.

Oh my goodness, we walked in and instantly someone jumped out making my friend scream the place down!! The actors throughout were excellent, being freaky, scary, plain weird or funny! My favourite actor was in the Sweeney Todd section, Mrs. Lovett entertaining us whilst the rest of the group caught up from the boat ride. She just picked on everyone making fun. Throughout the experience I was either, repulsed, scared, laughing or just freaked out. The last section was a ride where you were hung! Personally I hate being winched up, knowing you’re going to drop but not knowing when, so I screamed my head off! Perfect way to end the experience. The other section I loved and made me scream was Jack the ripper. Also an added bonus was my friends screams and faces throughout.
