OLD ABBA FAVOURITES

It was great, except that it seemed to be done acoustically (without microphones), so we struggled to hear, even though we were near front of stalls. Therefore everytime a song started and the audience sang along, it soon fizzled out, because we then couldn't hear the actors. So it should have been sing a long dancing in the aisles, but it wasn't due to the poor sound.

Mammia Mia The Show was even better than the film. The singing and dancing was of high quality. The feel good factor at the end of the show shouldn't be missed.
If you need a lift and are looking for a great afternoon or evening's enteratinment I would recommend this show!!

Mamma Mia a wonderful way to spend an evening out with your mum. A brilliant performance featuring some of the many hits of ABBA. I would say its the ultimate feel good musical.

Great fun. Everyone loves a bit of ABBA and even if you don't you'll enjoy the show. Its not the most serious show you'll ever see but you really do feel uplifted when you leave.
I think Jessie May (Sophie) will be a huge star as she steals the show here!

A great show which all age groups can enjoy and watch together

Enjoyed the show, abba music fantastic, one for the girls, my husband refused to come so we had a girls night out...definately a "feel good" musical, highly recommended.

If you have seen the film, you may be disappointed.

The play was ment to be great i guess , but production wise it was poor.
the lead singer's voice was lacking dynamic range , and it looked like they gonna loose their voice soon ,
its was funny at some occasions , the place wasnt too big so it did give you a bit of that feeling to are close to the stage wherever you sit is.
all in total nice expirience for fisrt timers visiting a musical in london , less for whom is a regular costumer.

Went to a matinee full of kids even though the suggested age group is over 12’s this did spoil it for us others where also not happy we had a baby crying that had to be taken out.

just have fun and don't be shy to sing with the performers.

I liked the music as it featured a huge number of Abba Songs which my dad use to play in car on tape player over and over again when we use to travel back and forth from Spain when I was little. I thought that the cast really did do a great job, they were very funny moments especially when they had the scene of guys coming along to pick sky up for the stag night and then the following morning. I really liked Tanya, she really was very funny, great scene of humour.

The songs are great – of course. I grew up on Abba and the arrangements of the songs are brilliant. Some of the performances were very good – Donna the mum and her friends and Harry as well. It’s a fun show...a front runner in this new ‘Hen-Part-Show’ genre that is emerging.

However, we had the 2nd understudy for Sophie, and I’m afraid it showed. Most obviously her shoes and costumes didn’t fit so she kept fiddling and being very self conscious. She is clearly a strong dancer but is not an actress and was so nervous her singing wasn’t at its best.

I’m not a fan of the 'juke-box musical' as it is so clunky when they cram in the songs from dialogue that is there purely for function.

Good fun but there's better to see in thewest end right now.

I enjoyed the show, it's nice light-hearted entertainment. I thought they could do a bit better with the singing (or maybe it was bad microphones? it seemed very quiet at times). Overall a happy and satisfying show, with great music!

I enjoyed the performances from both Linzi Hateley as Donna and Paul Ryan as Harry due to their emotional generosity and truth. The numbers ‘Slipping through my fingers’ and ‘The Winner Takes it All’ were particularly striking for me as was the fact that most of the performers in the show seemed to be more actors who sing as opposed to all-round music theatre power-houses.
It's good for a laugh - very light hearted and cheesy!

it was a fun friendly show,plenty of dancing and music if thats what your after(maybe too much),great for a hen night and for the older generations.dont sit too near the front to avoid choking from stage smoke or awkardness of where to look when the actors sit one foot away on the stage.

The well loved songs of Abba definitely made me want to dance in the aisles, from Dancing Queen to Waterloo it is a must for any Abba fans. I liked the fact that it seemed like they weren’t trying to hard to perform which made the story more realistic.

Mamma Mia is lighthearted and fun, if you liked the film then you will like the show!

I absolutely loved Mamma Mia! The show is great, the theatre beautiful and my tickets were fantastic. The staff were quite hot, too.

I have seen this twice - once in Washington, D.C. and once in London and loved it both times. This may not be great art but it is the most FUN I have ever had in the theater. The book is engaging and funny and the music is simply jouous.

I know most of us have seen the Hollywood movie.
But you CAN NOT beat a theatre production. Proper pro singers, great gags,some very dishy dances. And you can take your gran!!

The cast were all brilliant, great voices and lots of funny moments.

I was feeling quite down due to personal problems but having sat through two or so hours of complete and utter "fun", I realised that life was not so bad! Trust me this is the best tonic you can have in today's problem and recession hit times! Well done cast... you gave 300%. I will definitely be revisiting bringing more friends with me.

The show appealed to both my 8 yr old niece and myself(48). The cast were superb and whilst the 5pm fri show was without 3 of the "head liners", the understudies were good. Having seen a lot of West End theatre over the years, of all genres, I would thoroughly recommend the show for it's feelgood factor. Technically Mama Mia was a triumph, the scenary was effective and the cast excellent.

A great night out - theatre was very central, modern and well laid-out; the show was fantastic - very funny, great dance routines and of course those wonderful ABBA songs we all love to sing along to. Long may it run!

I bought the tickets for Mamma Mia for my two grandaughters and daughter in law for Xmas. We had a great day out and all enjoyed the show immensely, I regret not getting tickets for my husband and son who I know would have enjoyed it as much as we did. I would absolutely recommend this show to all ages.

The show was very entertaining, light hearted and had a feel good factor. The stage set was minimalistic but well done and the cast played their parts as though it was first night.
Provided you like Abba songs it will appeal to all ages.
The only downside was the long queue for the ladies - facilities poor for the size of the theatre.

This is my favourite show of all time. It has a really feel-good vibe. I was never a fan of Abba but this is just so good. The music and the cast are just brilliant. And it is miles better than the film!

I can't imagine that anyone hasn't heard of Mamma Mia but if there are a few doubting boys out there who hate Abba, think again! This is a production that will have you laughing and smiling even with your best attempts to remain stoic (I'm thinking of my brother here!) - go on, take a risk, you'll have a great time out from the recession!

We had seen the film first and feedback had been that we would be disappointed with the stage show - totally wrong! The stage version is far superior - all the performers can sing for a start and the disco atmosphere created is far more notalgic.

A superb production with amazing performances by the cast. The lead was especially impressive.

I took our family to the show and my children hardly knew the music - but this did not matter. This is a show that makes you smile as the dancing scene with flippers was great. The show has been updated over the years so do revisit it for a fun night out.

What can we say I still keep thinking about the great show and we would have rebooked for the Evening show again but the tickets were sold out. I still keep singing the songs. The theatre facilities were 1st class. After the Matinee we decided that we would like the Hardback Mammia Mia book so we went back and the Manager arranged for us to go before the evening preformance to buy one. They were very helpful.

Performance great- a real tongue in cheek show that had us all laughing and the music- well it was Abba songs so what more can you say- The two comic ladies from Donna's Dynamo's were fantastic- especially the plump one! Love to see this show again

Excellent show Our seats were right at the side of one of the rows in the stalls which was a little off-putting, but nevertheless we enjoyed the show. You can't go wrong with Abba music can you?
