The show was fantastic, we were totally lost in it- tempted to go again now that the cast has changed! It didn't even matter that Jodie was not there on the evening we went.

Stunning...we got great seats 5 rows from the front in the stalls even though we had booked a balcony ticket.....great cast, great music to sing a long to.....fantastic event !

We really enjoyed Oliver we think it suitable for children 6 and over.We had balcony tickets middle seats row D we would say sit in row F and above as we could not see the front of the stage.They were cheaper seats but quite uncomfortable with not much leg room and very hot as so high up,I had researched though so we were aware of this and we still enjoyed Oliver very much.Take plenty of water to drink.

Fabulous show - the use of the stage made you feel that you were there in the street the sets were so realistic bridges and all! - cast tremendous although it changes regularly especialy the kids but all so, so, talented a terrific night of entertainment for my family of 4.We recommend it.

How a great night out at the theatre in London should be

A great family show and very entertaining. The set was absolutely fantastic! The stage had so much depth that worked so well with the perspective of some scenes and you could really get a feel of Dickinson’s London. They had created the effect of Fagin’s underground home perfectly, from the little handkerchief touches to the effect of the street level moving up to create the underneath. The scenes were constantly moving and changing, tying in so well with all the actors and story. It all just worked so well and I felt like I was part of the show!

A very entertaining show with an outstanding multi-dimensional set, live orchestra and the cutiest of children. A great show for the entire family; it will encapture children of all ages. The very funny Omid Djalili provides regular injections of his notorious humour!

Fantastic set the best one I have seen so far, the whole stage is just alive and so real. There never seems to be two scenes the same. Very professionally done and so tight despite what seems a cast of hundreds. Omid was very funny and played the part well. The kids where also great, especially the Artful Dodger. We sat in the Grand Circle which gives a superb view of the stage.
The songs where good all the old favourites you remember. I really enjoyed the ‘who will buy’ it can’t be easy singing solo parts that overlap like that, very haunting.

Overall I couldn't fault the set design and staging elements of the show. The children were outstanding and Omid Djali was an excellent Fagin. However, the general story didn't interest me as much as it should have done and I thought the understudy to Nancy was weak, perhaps it would have been better if I had seen it with Jodie.

The set was incredible, moving effortlessly, constantly changing and creating movie set scenes! The cast gave it 100%, excellent singing, in particular from Nancy (Tasmin). The artful dodger particular shone as did Omid Djalili, giving a very comical and powerful performance. All the classic songs are included.

A spectacular show with a tremendous start and brilliant sets , Omid as fagin was superb, and my children loved little nipper. All very strong performances, Dodger and Oliver delightful and we all loved Jodie as Nancy she wqs areal joy, so very emotional.

this again was a great musical, but the Oliver was a little flat for the second time !!!, other than that this was a great musical and the rest of the cast was amazing !!! and so was the set. loverly theatre too and still a show I would recomend.

Truly fantastic!

A phenomenal spectacle for all the family, with the charm of child actors matched by the wit of Omid Djalili, who brought his own comedy and dance routines to the West End stage with current topical jokes that had the audience in fits. Loads of children with amazing choreography and Jodie as Nancy played a very convincing role.

Was a fantastic show, cast - especially the children - was brilliant. The seats were great despite being in the balcony. A show that everyone in the family can enjoy.

A well known shown - but brought up to date in terms of staging, and with a great, talented young cast. Dodger was great - and of course, "Mr Bean" as Fagin is superb!

This show is fabulous - if you are lucky enough to have tickets before Rowan Atkinson's run ends in July you really are in for a treat. His performance is spectacular. Jodie Prenger also deserves great praise for her performance - she really is a fantastic Nancy. The rest of the cast are also brilliant - I really cannot recommend this show highly enough! I would also recommend UK tickets to others. I managed to get Saturday matinee tickets from them, at quite short notice, when everyone else was sold out or charging ridiculous prices. UK Tickets charged a fair price and the tickets arrive very quickly. A great performance from everyone!

Fantastic Show

I enjoyed this musical and it was very entertaining. There was singing, dancing and a good story line, which made it evident that from the beginning to the end, it would be enjoyable. It was as good and as exciting to the original film. Seating ok.

this show is incredible

It really was a stunning show. Everyone from the oldest man to littlest pickpocket were great. To be honest I probably went mostly to see Rowan Atkinson and he did not disappoint - a shame he won't be on past July (I believe) but he was excellent bringing in aspects of Mr Bean at just the right moments and making Fagin his own. As usual the Artful Dodger stole the show from the kids side. Our Oliver was a little lacklustre but I think the role is meant to be underplayed. All in all a very good night out!

Of course Rowan Atkisson made the show, he was fantastic. Even his first word was brilliant when all the kids were shouting for Fagan suddenly it went quiet for a second or two, then all you heard was, "What!" Unmistakably Rowan as though Baldrick was bothering him with another cunning plan! A must for every Rowan fan.

The whole production from the off set was incredible. From the sets, through the lighting, to the entire casts performance including the orchestra.
The audience was made up of all ages and seemed to be enjoyed by each person who had the fortune to experience it. Definately recomended.

Everything it`s been said to be! Hit cast, amasing sets & costumes, all the traditional Oliver songs, & above all Rowan Atkinson (with glimpses of Mr. Bean & his other characters). Look out for his one word entrance !

What was not so fab was the fact that we were in balcony on the left and were sent to the right to gain access to out seats. If had not arrived early we would have been in trouble

i really enjoyed the show i laughed nearly the whole way through, i had a great time singing and dancing along to all the songs. i would advise anyone young or old to go see it it was one of the best shows ive seen in along time, just fab!

Very good show. Rowan Atkinson excelled himself as Fagin and was the star of the show. Jodie was ok but felt her voice was already straining and other females in the cast had better voices. Had no prescence on the stage. Dogger was fantastic and deserved a standing ovation. Oliver was ok but could not always hear him and understand him (we had Gwion)

A really great family show.I thought the staging was imaginative and quite spectacular in parts.The music,the dancing and the vitality of the whole production just swept you along with the fast moving story line.

We sat in the balcony. Would not reccommend this. Very difficult to see front of stage. People leaning forward in front of us meant we could see very little without doing the same. great show but the viewing ruined the experience.

Oliver! was a superb show. We enjoyed every minute and would go again.
Fagan and the Artfull Dodger were the best. Nancy was very good in the big song scenes.

Good family show

The sound was not always clear - the main cast would have been better with individual microphones. The sets were impressive.

I can't believe the critics unless they auditioned for the Fagin part and were turned down, Rowan Atkinson was superb!!!
All of the cast were brilliant and I am so glad I went to see it and so was my mum.
It was the best show I have seen for several years.
Be prepared for a climb if you have upper circle tickets though!

Great show ! A must see for all the family.

Absolutely brilliant

We were unable to get to the show. We were unable to contact you a day before the show when it became clear that we would not be able to travel due to severe weather. We eventually made contact just before we were due to leave home for the theatre and were told that they would try to resell the seats. We have heard nothing since but still would like to see the show.

We wantedt to see Rowan Atkinson and Jodie Prenger from the 'Nancy' TV show and they were both absolutely excellent. Jodie was a wonderful choice. Do check the web site though to find out what nights Jodie is working as I would not want anyone to miss her if they really want to see her in the part. We also saw Gwion Wyn Jones as Oliver and he was also excellent. This show was all I had hoped for and more.

Brilliant show, in particular Jodie as Nancy is stupendous, but all the cast were fantastic.

Unfortunately I had a delayed flight and delayed airport transfer, which meant I missed the show. But I would like to say how excellent your service was and that I am sure I would have thoroughly enjoyed the show had I made it. Keep up the great service. Regards Brian

Great production, the best stage sets ever seen. A brilliant show....but disappointed that Rowan Atkinson was indisposed and Jodie Prenger doesn't perform on Wednesday or Thursday shows. Although the alternative performers were very good in their own right.

I purchased these tickets for daughter and her family as a christmas present. They all thought it was fabulous the 10 year old grandson said it was great, hiswhich is saying something for him, and dad also thought it was good, we have been told to go and see it for ourselves we just need to find some tickets.

Took my 12 year old son to watch the show and we both loved it from start to finish. We booked the front row of the balcony (seats A22 - 23 )which was good but you do have to lean forwards in your seats to get a good view. You can get bolster cushions which is a great idea for both kids and adults. My son was fine with the seat but I found it got quite uncomfortable on the legs after a while.

Brillant show.Superb settings.Atkinson lights up the stage with his presence.Highly reccommended.

Superb. Great cast. All from Atkinson to ensemble excellent. Very high qulaity. Sets are extraordinary and seamless transition between each. JUst fantastic.

The show is a must to see.Rowan Atkinson plays a great role as Fagan and is a joy to watch.I would try and go when he is starring.The children in the show are also fabulous.We will definetly be going again to see this show.Our 5 year old was enthralled throughout the performance.We would though pay out extra for better seats nxt time.

This show was fantasic, a real clasic, i have seen lots of shows at the theatre, and this was one of my favourites.

really enjoyable show, the cast were fantastic, A great revival of a now clasic musical, well worth the money and effort to clime to the balconey.

Best show I have seen, sets and production 1st class. Rowan Atkinson and Jodie Preger were amazing as were ALL the cast especially the children -do not miss it!

My 10 year old son, and his friend, and myself, absolutely loved it. Fabulous characters, great songs, superb acting and singing, brilliant set. We gave it 10 out of 10. A must see.

An amazing show which really grabbed your attention from the very first second to the very last. The sets were spectacular; the performances stunning and the 'big picture' (ie how it all visually came together) out of this world. The little Mr Bean moments were fun to spot and we all compared notes on them when in the cab going home. If you only see one show this year, make it Oliver!

Tickets were for opening night and it was great to see all the celebrities in the theatre also. I was sat next to all the young boys who had auditioned but didnt get one of the parts of Oliver but they seemed not to be down hearted and enjoying the night. All the lead cast were excellant and made everyone consider themselves at home. Go and see it.

First time at the Theatre Royal and what a show to start with. The majasterial decour was an ideal backdrop to what will become one of our classic productions. Rowan Atkinson is a truly wonderful Fagin but the "Dodger" creates the catylist that transforms the show into a performance to remember.

I thought that this was marvellous. Although Rowan Atkinson seemed to slip into Mr Bean a few times, but I suppose thats what he is famous for. I would love to hear Jody singing in her own accent, but obviously not for this performance.

The show is as good as the reviews, if not better! Would recommend everyone to see it as soon as they can get a ticket!

It was value for money specially with the setting and great cast. My son normally would not stay for a long show but this particular his eyes was wide open and thanking for taking him to the show. We are all very happy and we have a great time.

'Fagin' (Rowan Atkinson) very good ....occasionally seems to forget where he is but 9/10 nevertheless. 'Artful Dodger' very good indeed. Oliver too well-fed looking but he can really sing!! Weakest characters by far are Bill Sikes (not scary at all- and poor actor as well) Nancy (not the TV one - she doesn't do Wed or Thur) was not very interesting either... she's clearly trying hard but no 'X' factor.
Music and staging excellent!!!!

OLIVER did not disappoint on any level. Rowan Atkinson was a brilliant "Fagin", Jodie Prenger did not disappoint her army of fans from the TV show in which she won the role of "Nancy" and the young actors playing "Oliver" and "Artful Dodger" were excellent. Artful Dodger, in particular, almost stole the show with his rendering of "Consider Yourself" and that musical number, in particular, was an absolute treat. The staging was simply fantastic, with amazing scene changes at alternating levels making the show run on oiled wheels. The only role which I felt was not ideally cast was that of "Bill Sykes", as he did not convey the frightening menace of the character, but that was just a minor blip in an otherwise perfect show. I sat in Row C of the Upper Circle and ha an excellent view of the stage. The Upper Circle in many other West End Theatres is not the best place to sit, but at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane is was fine. Perhaps the fact I was in one of the front rows helped. All in all a perfect night out!

I have been to numerous West End shows over the last couple of years and I can quite honestly say this was the best one I have ever seen!! Fantastic!

Great show, Rowan Atkinson was an excellent Fagin but excluding the artful dodger, the rest of the cast were a little weak. Most disappointing was the orchestrational arrangement which had little or no depth.

The show was amazing. The set was the best that i have seen and all of the children were fantastic, especially dodger. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and will recommend it to all.

The best of British Musicals

Wow, wow and WOW! What a terrific production this is.

I shall start with what impressed me the most, the AWESOME set and scenery and cleverly orchestrated scene changes. This really provides the wow factor and depicts the great contrasts between poorer and richer areas and lifestyles in 19th Century London. From Parish Beadle’s workhouse which is dull and grey and sparse to the colourful reproduction of London’s streets and famous land marks such as St Paul’s cathedral with all the hustle and bustle and beautiful costumes and traditional market wares from the period.

As the entire depth of the Theatre Royal stage was used it reminded me of one of those miniature paper theatres that I had as a child that just stretch right back and are so interesting to look at time and again because you always find something you missed.

I didn’t think there was any one cast member who struck me as glaringly weak. Jodie Prenger made for a warm and endearing Nancy and I thought her acting was very good and a believable characterisation. Rowan brought the house down with his inimitable style, wit and comic timing – he was the show-stealer. Oliver was sweet, posh and straight with the voice of an angel. Dodger was small but mighty in his role with strong little lungs, a right ‘belter’ you might say. Basically the show was a stereotypical portrayal of this well known classic story – therefore nobody should be disappointed (one hopes).

I thought the show was brilliant. From the sets and performances to the costumes. I fell in love with the set-it was fantastic, they have obviously spent a lot of time and effort on it and the way it glides from scene to scene is seamless. The cast are fantastic my favourite having to be Rowan Atkinson, he was superb and as a Mr.Bean fan I was loving the little references throughout the show.
The Nancy I saw was played by Tamsin Carroll, she performs on Wednesdays and Thursdays instead of Jodie Prenger. I thought she did a brilliant job, she seemed very comfortable in the role (this could be because she played Nancy in the Australian version for some years and won some major awards). Her version of ‘As long as he needs me’ gave me goose bumps and her interaction with the children was great too. Overall I thought she did great...maybe even better than Jodie???!!

A truly spectacular show! Musicals aren't top of my list when it comes to the theatre, but Oliver! was fantastic! I cannot recommend this production enough! And the person who casted Rowan Atkinson as Fagan must have had a flash of genius!!!

The scale and production of this show really gives you your money's worth. I saw Harry Stott as Oliver and Robert Madge as Dodger and both were perfect. Jodie was more powerful than I expected and Rowan Atkinson is an inspired choice to play Fagin... I laughed so hard it hurt. The whole thing just blew me away and I can't wait to go again.

Really enjoyed the spectacular sets and atmosphere. Rowan Atkinson was very good and brought a new dimension to the part of fagin. Dodger was great. Mr Sowerbury was played to perfection. Avery enjoyable evening.
