Stomp at The Ambassadors Theatre, London

A Music, Dance and Percussion Spectacular

One of the West End’s most unique offerings, the dance and percussion spectacular Stomp is currently in its sixth year in London, having transferred from the Vaudeville Theatre to the Ambassadors in 2007.

Stomp originated as a dance troupe in Brighton on 1991. Incorporating household objects into their routines, Stomp toured schools and clubs throughout the 1990’s promoting recycling, and became regulars on BBC’S Blue Peter, even performing the theme tune.

Stomp has been a fixture in New York since 1994, after extensive tours of the US and Australia, and it now plays with an all American cast. After having worked mainly in television and promotional work in the UK, Stomp’s whole show did not appear in the West End until 2002, yet with its heady mix of ingenious physical theatre and pounding music, Stomp has been consistently drawing in the crowds since.

The Ambassadors Theatre

The compact venue has two levels: Stalls and Circle. The Stalls offer excellent views throughout, apart from some restriction in the two rows to the rear (rows Q and R). As can be seen in the seating plan below, the Circle is divided into front and rear sections by an aisle running between rows E and F. Views are clear in the Circle, though the slip seats in the front row of (A1-2 and A21-22) are slightly restricted.
