One of the West End’s most unique offerings, the dance and percussion spectacular Stomp is currently in it s sixth year in London, having transferred from the Vaudeville Theatre to the Ambassadors in 2007.
Stomp originated as a dance troupe in Brighton on 1991. Incorporating household objects into their routines, Stomp toured schools and clubs throughout rthe 1990’s promoting recycling, and became regulars on BBC’S Blue Peter, even performing the theme tune.
Stomp has been a fixture in New York since 1994, after extensive tours of the US and Australia, and it now plays with an all American cast. After having worked mainly on television and promotional work in the UK, Stomp’s whole show did not appear in the West End until 2002, yet with its heady mix of ingenious physical theatre and pounding music, Stomp has been consistently drawing in the crowds since.
