The Crucible

Arthur Miller’s Powerful Drama

Set in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692, a community is divided by accusations of witchcraft. When tales from several troubled girls are taken as fact, the small town descends into persecution and panic. As accusations fly, and suspicion is accepted as evidence, a deadly chain of events is set into motion.

Written by Arthur Miller during Cold War hysteria, ‘The Crucible’ is one of his most powerful dramas.

Staged in the only professional outdoor theatre in Britain, each performance is a special event.

Directed by the theatre’s Artistic Director, Timothy Sheader, experience this bold drama in a unique environment.
