The Fantasticks

The Fantasticks is back!

The brilliant musical ‘The Fantasticks’ is back in London for a much anticipated revival. The long-running off-Broadway production, with music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones, comes to the Duchess Theatre.

‘The Fantasticks’ first opened in New York in 1960, becoming the longest-running musical with more than 17,000 performances in over forty years. The show has toured 67 countries around the world and been released as a feature film in 2000.

Based on the French play ‘The Romancers’ by Edmond Rostand, ‘The Fantasticks’ tells the story of two neighbours who build a wall between their homes so that their children will be destined to fall in love. The London production is directed by Amon Miyamoto with lighting by ‘Billy Elliot’ designer, and Tony Award Winner, Rick Fisher.
