Thought the show was amazing..... lots to see and close to the classic film!!!!! seats close to the front lets you see more and enjoy the animals and effects much more than seats nearer to the back.

The stage decorations and the effects used were exceptional and very pleasing to the eye. However, as for the singing part, I was not so impressed compared to other musicals I have seen.

Second time seeing this and it just gets better and better. The actress who plays Rafiki is the real star of the show, I could listen to her sing ‘He lives in me’ over and over again and never get bored of it. Amazing!!

Took my 26yr old daughter to see this show and we loved it. Only small problem was,I thought I brought tickets for the Grand Circle and we ended up in the stalls sitting on two end seats where we could see the stage hands preparing for the next set and we could not see all the stage on the right hand side. Overall enjoyed the night.

Probably wouldn't go on a Sunday afternoon. Too many kids. Distracted from the performance

What a show! Great for kids young and old. There were three generations in our party and all loved it. The animal costumes were colourful and inventive using imagination to complete the picture. The cast/animals regularly appear singing from the back of the theatre through the audience to the stage. A very moving performance enjoyed by all in our party. One not to miss when visiting London. We had £32.50 priced seats in rear stalls (Row Y) and still had a super view of the stage.

This show was absolutely amazing. I saw it first in Australia, and as soon as I arrived in London it was the first west end theatre show i had to see. I took my best friend to see it for her birthday and she absolutely loved it!

2nd time that i have seen the Lion King. This time i took my youngest son who was 9 and it still had the same amazing effect as the first. I cried when the giraffes came on again they are my favourite. A real feel good show.

After seeing and hearing so much excellent feedback about 'The Lion King' I had to see this show and experience it for myself. It was truly amazing. The voices of the characters were so accurate to the Disney movie and the voices in the songs were breath taking. There were songs in the theatre show that were not in the Disney movie and they were at some moments hypnotising to listen to. I would recommend it to anyone with a love of Disney and a passion for theatre. I went to see this show during the day and it must have been amazing to silence a full audience which mainly consisted of children! I would defiantly see this again!

We enjoyed the show and the music. Our seats were in the Grand Circle and we could see the stage well, however the show has a number of effects in it that really do need you to be sitting in the stalls in order to get the full effect, for example, the stampede. We felt that we could see too much of the workings as we were looking down at the stage and this took away a little of the enjoyment.

I was really excited to watch the show after seeing the trailer. I booked myself on-line and wanted to book for the next show even if I haven't seen it yet. Last nite, I had a great time watching it. Can't help to applause every after each scene. The man beside me with his daughter and wife giggled and whistled loudy. WHEW!
While on the bus, I rang my friends to bring their family to Lyceum. Can't wait return to watch it again. HAKUNA MATATA! I forgot all my worries.

It's an amazing show, and so beautiful! I got goose bumps when the animals and singers walked down the aisle in the auditorium. The set and puppets are amazing, and the music is great. I recommend it to everyone - it's a beautiful experience.

I loved the music and the costumes; this show has a great visual effect which is arrived at by a set that does not look like the most expensive in the West End. It’s basically all very simple but incredible effective. The animals are incredible particularly the Giraffe's. This must have been a revolution when it 1st came out.This is a great show for the family and kids but bear in mind it is 3 hours long and your child may get restless.

The costumes were fantastic!! Out of this world. Once you were connected with the characters you didn’t notice the person operating the animals walking/flying around the stage. Great comedy moments from Zazu, Timon and Pumba. Also brilliant parts from the Hyenas.
The heard of Wildebeast swooping the plain affect was fantastic. Rafiki was one of my favourites!! Her voice made me shiver. Her character was hilarious. Her song in her native song was incredible and something very special to hear.I though that the young Simba was not as impressive as the young Nala. Definitely one for young families. Although it’s a long performance and maybe not suited for children who cant sit still for long periods of time.Seats in the stalls are not tiered and so I would recommend sitting at the front of the Grand Circle instead of back of the Stalls.

When the lights go down and the famous 'Circle of Life' begins, every child in the audience is gripped to the African landscape bought to life in Covent Garden. From the amazing costumes to the spectacular set design, the show is a definite asset to the West End.

The production is the film put on stage, with every song we know and love, with a few new songs to tickle our taste buds. The costumes, set and puppetry is without doubt the selling point for the show, from the moment the show opens with animals walking down the aisle your breath is taken away. The second act I feel was a lot better, and really grabbed my attention.

Lion King was a colorful and spectacular show! I loved the music and the costumes were vivid. After a while you could no longer see the people moving in the costumes but the animals itself - as if the stage had come alive. Recommended for families!

10th Anniversary performance: This was undoubtedly the best performance I have ever seen and the best show in the West End by far! We felt like royalty as we walked up the ‘yellow’ carpet to the Theatre, hobnobbing with the stars! This was the tenth Anniversary of the Lion King in London and the performance certainly didn’t disappoint. The cast were outstanding; an effortless performance was made by everyone. There were cast present in the audience, old and new and you could certainly tell who they were, giving a cheer after every actor came on to the stage. The atmosphere was incredible and really felt like the magic of Disney was captured throughout the whole auditorium.Fantastic costumes are used in this production to create life-like animals and the music, written by Elton John and Tim Rice is based on the 1994 animated Disney film. This production also uses the talents of African dance, sounds and rhythms to create a unique and distinctive sound. Fantastic, set, costumes, musical score and classic Disney story which will appeal to all types of audiences.
This show has always been my favourite and after this incredible once-in-a-lifetime performance it will remain so for a very long time.

Too many lions for my liking. I thought it wasabout an Austrian family of singer who were on the run from the Nazis?? Anyway, didn't enjoy, completely off topi. Unless the lions were a metaphor for an Austrian family on the run from the Nazis which would make it a perfect ensemble

Love the music but it became somewhat lost at times as we were sitting at the back of the stalls under the balcony and I think this dampened the accoustics. Not great seats as the stage was 50% obscured by the person in front! However, would highly recommend the show!

I thought the show was great! I was itting right at the back in the grand circle (last row actually) but the show looked so amazing even from there. I could see everything very clearly and the sound was amazing. Really worth the time and money!!!! Just make sure that you get there for the beginning because the opening sequence is fabulous and it would be a real shame to miss it (plus it's annoying when people arrive late and block your vision as the shuffle to their seats!!!!!!)

I was disappointed. My seat was £50 but directly behind someone else [not staggered] so I couldn't see anything centre stage without bobbing and weaving, irritating whoever was behind me. I thought the actor playing the very young Simba [1/3/09] was very poor and couldn't sing in tune! The stampede scene felt amateurish in the extreme, cringeworthy.

I was a little worried about the seating as we got the very back row on the grand circle at lyceum theatre but because of the layout and seating structure of the theatre it was fine with no obstructions at all. would definatly recommend it to anyone and it's definatly well worth going at caters for all audiences. well worth the money.

A great job of changing a film to a West End show, Great costumes, sunging and dancing!

seats were described as "best available" which meant "right at the back on the top floor" but that didnt really detract from our enjoyment of the show as we could still see and hear everything.

The lion king musical was simply amazing! The props used were absolutely spectacular, and all of the audience were really impressed by the level of creativeness put into this show. I thoroughly recommend it! A must to watch!

Brilliant, well worth going to see - stall seats by an isle are the best as all the animals walk up on to the stage.

I was blown away in the first five minutes and it only got better. The costumes are fantastic. Don't miss it.

Wouldn't recommend the Grand Circle seats to anyone who has problems with stairs or heights as it's a long way up!

I bought tickets for my boyfriends birthday, he absoultelt love it! The vocals were amazing and the production set simply marvellous!

Fantastic costumes, music, dancing - just brilliant. Sent shivers down my spine on a few occasions. The show had a good response from the audience.
Probably a good idea to be aware of Disney's film, as my other half found it difficult to keep up, and I had to explain to him wha was happening during the interval. He still enjoyed, but got a bit lost during the first half.
We had the cheapest tickets, right at the back row of the Grand Circle and still had a great view! I'm glad we didn't pay for the very expensive tickets as our seats were great!
83 steps to climb to get to the Grand Circle - something to bare in mind for some.

A wonderful and imaginative depiction of this beautiful story. Absolutely stunning costumes and a cast of talented, funny and engaging actors and actresses. Great for young and old alike.

I took my 8 year old son and we both thought the show was fantastic, the singing, the costumes were clever and made the show come alive.

I took my boyfriend to see the Lion King after having seen it myself about 5 years ago. I had forgotten how amazing it is!! He absolutely loved it too and we were hooked all the way through. The scenery and costumes seem so simple but at the same time are a stroke of genius. The mix between new ideas and ideas from the Disney film are balanced really well and I fail to see how anyone could fail to marvel at the spectacle. We loved every minute and were singing all the way home!

Best show I have ever seen

It was great costumes but some of the acting and singing was not that great.

The show was a bit like a sugar high - it started out with a rousing overture: great costumes, fantastic music and then the high point: the birth of Simba. Unfortunately, after a great start the show peters out pretty quickly. One sees precious little of the great costumes (the giraffes only show up one more time in an interlude and then again at the end, the elephant never to be seen again) and the songs are more forgettable than memorable. It would be a good show to see if you have kids. If you do not and are not a huge fan of animated film, this show will probably disappoint as it really is just that - a musical rehash of the movie.

The production was spectacular and the cast fantastic, not to mention the wonderful music.

I have seen Lion King before, from stalls seats, and found myself getting confused as a lot goes on above you. Getting the higher seats is amazing, you get the full affect of the whole show.

The show was fantastic live and all the props and performances was excellent. However, I thought it was worthy of being on a bigger stage and would recommend this if at all possible!

A good show, wonderful costumes but a little disappointed with the 'sing a long' music. I was ready to sing the big tunes but the opportunity wasn't there. I will watch the film again and recommend the show for families.

I judge all shows on the basis of if I would go to see it again. I wouldn't go to Lion King again. I think it is just a little OTT on the African singing/dancing for my taste.

very good show. we had good seats and enjoyed it imensely. would recomend it for couples and families. only thing i would say is that younger children may be a little frightened of the hyienas in some parts but overall very good

Couldn't get the tickets we wanted and were too far away from the action.Show was very lively and colourful but we missed a lot of the detail from being so far away, Would never book in the Grand Circle again!

The Lion King is a must see.
Animals are amazing and the costumes alone are spectacular.
We weere sitting at the back of the stalls and I believe that if you were sitting in the circle you may have had a better view.

Had a seat in the very back row of the highest balcony, and the view was still very good, though the back row does have slightly less legroom than the rest of the seating.

First half was a little slow. Second half saw show come to life. more humour in this half also,.

This was my first musical and it was spectacular, could have made a better choice. The musical was fantastic and the combination of the décor, podium settings and costumes was spectacular. Very talented singers.

Lion King has been on for so long and now we know why. It is a truly beautiful and imaginative production.

This was the best of all the musicals we have seen.Just amazing to see how it could be put on stage.

Everybody had told us how good this was and we were not dissapointed. Would love to see it again. My 9 year old has not stopped talking about it.

Wonderful costumes- additional music fits fantastically with the Disney film music, and some of the effects are brilliant!

In many ways this show, like the film, is really directed at children. The second half has more appeal for adult viewers however. I enjoyed it but certainly won't be rushing off to watch it again in a few years. A double visit. My first and my last.

The show was absolutly amazing!! the intro started and i actually cried! we sat on the back row right at the top and still enjoyed every minute of it! admittedly we thought it would be more intense if we had sat in the stalls, but equally it was one of the best shows we had seen!

This is the second time I have seen this show, and I would see it again in a heartbeat! It is a classic, and one of the best stage shows of all time .. If you're booking tickets, I would advise getting an aisle seat to enhance the experience!

Dazzling choreography and costumes and fantastic music.

I would recommend tickets towards the middle rather than on the sides. I sat Grand circle half way-up and near the middle which had a great view.

Great for kids, amazing set and costume, the way they've adapted the film to the stage at times left us completely in awe!

Lion King has been spoken about highly and recommended by all our friends who had already seen it. We went in with high expecations and all our expectations and more were met. It made us feel like kids again and I must compliment the group on an outstanding performance. I would definately go and see it for a second time round. Well done, money worth spent.

The beginning was a bit protracted , but as the story gathered pace , it became really interesting.The witch was exceptional- eg vocal and overall performance.The show really kicked in with the appearance of Timone and Pumba.

Overall- great show not only for the kids, who loved it ,but for the adults too!

Lion King is an excellent classic for the whole famiily, I went wth my teenage son and we both loved it. We were in the grand circle in the cheapest seats, but this didn't spoil any of the special effects and as the characters are larger than life it ddn't matter one bit!

I booked a cheap ticket (£20) and was allocated seat L5. Bit worried that I might not get a good view but these fears vanished as soon as I found my seat. I had a good view of the stage while sitting comfortably.

The show was fantastic from beginning to end. Did not realise from reading reviews how funny the show was. Can not name one favourite character as there was so many, every one of them brilliant

'The Lion King' is a magical experience for anyone of any age. I can't begin to express how inventive and exciting the costumes are! If you have children-sit in the stalls!!!

For £20 as well it was a bargain night out for London's West End.

Absolutely incredible. I took my 21 year old boyfriend for his birthday and definitely enjoyed it just as much as the 5 year old girl sitting next to us! If you want a special experience, get an aisle seat in the stalls, we were luckily enough put there thanks to uk tickets, but definitely made our night! xxx

I really liked it, it was the best show I have seen in a long time, I will be going to see it again.

Take bioculars, but ones for hire still at 50p. Ice-cream is £30 per small tub so beware. Fantastic show, really professional.

Fantastic show, a must see for any theatre fan.

This was a Christmas gift to my family and friends, of mixed ages (12, 20's, 30's and 60's) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance for a variety reasons. One to watch!

It was truly moving, had everything you wanted it to have and impressed me all the way through. Definitely one to see, I would go again.

Great decorations, good singers, mostly well known but still wonderful music, and good auditorium (sound and view from the middle of Grand Circle). Definitely positive experience.

it was great! my family and i had an amazint time. I think everyone would enjoy it even if they haven't seen the movie.

Quite expensive but worth the money. Would benefit from concessions eg kids under 14 disabled over 65's this would make it more affordable, the show draws a selective audience because of price.

As a newbie to the theater and only have seen lion king on dvd a week before, i loved it every minute off it. From the venue to the staff and the huge awesome production. The actual lion king show was breathtaking and was memorized from the first scene till the end. Brilliant production and brilliant cast made this a one unforgettable show that i will always remember and mite even see it again. Worth every penny and a must see. I can say this was my first but def not last time ill be visiting a theater because off Lion King.

The Lion King was a phenomenal show, I loved every minute of it! The choreography, the movements of actors, the costumes! I doubt there is any other theater to see something spectacular! this was my second time that I went to watch and it is worth the money!

This was an absolutely brilliant presentation, all the cast in the show were great.

Wonderful show for children and adults. The sets were amazing and the music exciting. Our two young guests' eyes were glued to the stage throughout.

Great Visual treat and changes on stage layout for the story and costumes are magnificent. First 10 minutes are really something then the story gets a little weak but picks up after the interval. The Meercat and Warthog with Simba are a treat to watch

An excellent show from start to finish the effects, scenery, and costumes were superb and had the children (aged 8) spellbound. Good seats although there were a lot of steps to climb to get up into the circle! Very good.

Super music, and a great spectacle. The portrayal of many of the animals, particularly Giraffe & Elephant (so graceful), Rhinoceros, Hyenas defies description. Some BIG voices.

Our 11 year old grandson decided to see this show, and I was a little dubious about seeing people dressed up as animals - but needn't have worried. It was very well done and we all enjoyed the show - very colourful

The design of the set,the costumes,the masks they are all cleverly done and so the animals become humans.One of the best shows we've seen.Audience was really active and this added to the excitement

The opening scene to The Lion King sets the atmosphere for the show. You need to be in the front stalls to get the full feeling of the effects. The actors and Characters were perfect, professional and give value for money. The bar service cannot be faulted due to their speed and efficiency serving so many customers in a short space of time at the interval.

Great show. Costumes and production were fantastic. Sound production not so good and we both could not hear all the spoken dialogue Particularly Simba - both young and adult characters.

Excellent, really professional. The costumes and scenery were amazing and with the animals going up and down the aisles you really felt a part of the show. Great for my niece and she is still singing hakuna matata a week later.
