This major new staging of the The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe opens at the state of the art threesixty theatre tent in Kensington Park Gardens for the summer of 2012. The production, adapted for stage by Rupert Goold, combines live performance with astounding surround video and delightful puppetry to bring the spectacular world of Narnia vividly to life. C.S. Lewis’ classic story follows the adventures of four siblings (Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan) who are evacuated to the countryside during the Second World War. Whilst exploring the house of Professor Kirke, the children stumble upon an old wardrobe which contains a doorway to the frozen realm of Narnia, a land ruled by the cold magic of the White Witch. A prophecy predicts that her power will fall when two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve bring salvation to the kingdom.
*On the day of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on Friday 27th July 2012 the performance will be moved to 2.00pm.
