Great show! Must see for anyone after a thrill

Something different. Not for young children but a very good show.

Frightened out of our wits but loved it. Very cleverly done to get so much out of so little.

Theatre was a disappointment as there was no legroom and I could hardly see the stage. People were screaming at events I couldn't see and I felt badly let down by it all. I might just as well have sat behind a tailor's dummy because I could only see to the left and right. Uncomfortable seating but it sounded good!

recommend if you like things that go bump in the night......

A very good story well worth going to see.

The fortune is a tiny theatre with the stage being within spitting distance which really encourages the tension and suspense within the audience. Definitely understated and chilling, the two actors work seamlessly interchanging their roles throughout. Well worth seeing but be warned it will stay with you long after leaving the theatre.

Absolutely gripping! The two actors held the audience enthralled, and were simple marvellous. They even made us forget the cramped seats!!

Be sure to get there early.. Lots of teenagers.

Fantastic performance - loved it!

The production is amazing, two actors act out one of the scariest theatre plays ever! The tension and suspense was immense and the whole audience was screaming in the most terrifying moments. The two actors took on numerous characters throughout and if I had been told this before I would have been like what a load of rubbish, but you forget it's the same people. The set is simple but the use of simple objects to create a huge mansion, marsh lands, grave yards and horse and cart is done very well. It creates a truly terrifying play. The woman in black herself was just awful to look at and the bit that really freaked me out was when she was rocking in her rocking chair like a crazy woman. The theatre is tiny so you feel like you're in the house with the solicitor being haunted by this ghost. A must see for all.

The show took a bit of getting into but this is all necessary as it explains the characters. Once the story actually starts it is brilliant.

The seats are very uncomfortable and although I'd recommend sitting in the centre the seats are packed in tightly!

Thoroughly enjoyed the show... A brilliant evening with friends - just make sure you don't have to go home alone that night!

the theatre it's self is a listed building,facilities are therefore not top quality, however the staff were friendly and helpful, the show itself was excellent.

Excellent show, truly nervewracking. Slow to get started but brilliant second half. Very small theatre and seats quite uncomfortable, would recommend anyone over 6ft request an aisle or box.
