Wicked: One short week

| Just as Wicked ended 2008 on a gravity defying high, it has started 2009 in equally impressive style. This afternoon producers of the show announced that last week (commencing Monday 29 December) was its highest grossing ever as almost 20,000 people poured into its nine performances, bringing in a record breaking £885,294 in ticket sales. Wicked broke its own record, which it had held since it took in £873,020 in the last week of December 2006. |
