Stomp: better than ever

Posted by Gary on Friday 6th March 2009 at 3:12PM

The vibrant percussion and dance spectacular Stomp has enjoyed a revamp this month. Entering its seventh year in the West End in 2009, Stomp has also enjoyed success with several world tours and special appearances, as well as a long residency in New York. Worldwide, the phenomenon of Stomp has been seen by over 14 million people in 43 countries.

Over a year since it transferred to the Ambassadors from its former home at the Vaudeville, Stomp’s update has taken inspiration from its Las Vegas counterpart, the larger scale Stomp Out Loud. With brand new music and new routines brought in to spice up the London production, Stomp is looking and sounding better than ever. Most popular with UK Tickets on our last visit were the giant guiros, made from enormous ribbed tubes, and the fantastic bobbing and bouncing routine with the inner tubes from monster truck tyres worn as skirts and played like huge, portable drum kits.

Almost twenty years after Stomp was established in Brighton, Stomp in 2009 is faster, fresher and funnier then ever.

Stomp is currently booking until October 2009 and you can grab your tickets here.
