Kath and Kim Actress in West End Role

| Jane Turner, star of hit Australian TV show Kath and Kim, makes her West End debut in Australian play Holding the Man. The show, which opens at the Trafalgar Studios this summer, is the stage adaptation of Tim Conigrave’s book of the same title. Set in an all-male Melbourne high school in the 1970s, Holding the Man is Tim’s true life memoir of falling in love with the football team captain and chronicals the ups and downs of their 15 year relationship. |

Suburban Life and Comedy Success Actress Jane Turner is best known for playing 'Kath Day-Knight' in Australian TV comedy Kath and Kim. She is also the co-creator of the show. The comedy follows the day to day lives of a dysfunctional mother and daughter. It was broadcast in the UK by the BBC. |
Award Winning Book Adapted for StagePublished as a book in 1995, Holding the Man explores the conflict between sexuality and culture. It won the United Nations Human Rights Award for Non-Fiction.The stage adaptation opened in Sydney in 2006, winning a number of awards during four sell out seasons.
