Autumn Thrillers in the West End

There are some fantastic thrillers to grip you this autumn, as a great year of drama continues in the West End. With the dark comic-thriller Deathtrap opening at the Noel Coward Theatre later this month, UKTickets takes a look at three of the best:

Accomplished writer Sidney Bruhl is having trouble completing his next big play. When a gifted young writer shows him a new work, Sidney decides to do everything in his power to acquire the script. Simon Russell Beale (London Assurance) and Jonathan Groff (US TV show Glee) star in this wicked murder mystery by Ira Levin (The Stepford Wives and Rosemary’s Baby).

The Woman in Black

The Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre

Young solicitor Arthur Kipps travels from London to the bleak East Coast and an isolated house to attend the funeral of Mrs Alice Drabalow, a widow who recently died alone. There he must uncover the awful secret of the woman in black, as events from the past return to haunt him. This chilling show is now in its 21st year and booking into 2011 at the Fortune Theatre.

Ghost Stories

Ghost Stories at the Duke of York’s Theatre

Prepare yourself for an evening of tension and foreboding as Andy Nyman seeks to debunk some frightening stories, recorded from subjects interviewed in the course of his paranormal research. Co-written by Nyman and The League of Gentleman’s unseen star - Jeremy Dyson, this brilliantly unpredictable show will keep you on the edge of your seat and praying for the houselights!
