West End SmashSince opening at the Victoria Palace theatre in spring 2005 an incredible 20 different boys have played the role of Billy. At least three boys rotate the role at any one time, with regular auditions being held across the country to find talented boys of the right age.Billy Elliot the Musical has been seen by over 3.3 million people around the world with productions in Sydney, Melbourne and New York. After opening in the West End the production was nominated for nine Laurence Olivier Awards, winning four awards including ‘Best New Musical’. |
