Alfie Boe & Matt Lucas to star in Les Mis

After months of speculation it has been officially announced that opera tenor Alfie Boe will star as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre. Boe will be joined by Little Britain star Matt Lucas who will play the role of Thenardier. Both will perform from the 23rd June with Lucas finishing on the 10th September and Boe the 26th November 2011. |

The two stars both appeared at The O2 Arena in December to mark the 25th Anniversary of the show. Boe recently performed at the Royal Variety Performance and is enjoying continued success on the UK Album chart with his new record ‘Bring Him Home’, which has already been certified Gold. |
