Steadman was last on the West End stage in the successful 2009 run of Alan Bennett’s play Enjoy. In the revival Steadman will play the role of clairvoyant Madame Arcati, who is hired by novelist Charles and his second wife Ruth to entertain guests at a dinner party. They have presumed the woman is a fraud, but when Charles’s first wife Elvira appears, visible only to him and determined to sabotage his current marriage, life (and the afterlife) begins to get complicated. |
