Aussie Star Joins Priscilla Cast

Australian born actor Richard Grieve will join the cast of the Olivier Award-Winning musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert - taking over from Ben Richards in the role of 'Tick' from 07 March 2011. Ex Footballer's Wives star Ben Richards joined the show in June 2010 when he replaced Jason Donovan. The vivacious production, at the Palace Theatre, will continue to feature Don Gallagher as 'Bernadette' and Oliver Thornton as 'Adam'. |

Richard Grieve is best known for his regular TV soap opera appearances, including playing the parts of 'Jonny Foster' in ITV’s Emmerdale, 'Dr Lachlan Frazer' in Home & Away and 'Sam Kratz' in Neighbours. He also brings extensive stage experience to his new role, with credits including UK national tours of Footloose The Musical, Dial M For Murder and There’s No Place Like A Home. |

Shake Your Groove at the Palace TheatreBased on the Oscar winning film of the same name, Priscilla Queen of the Desert tells the heart-warming and uplifting story of Mitzi, Bernadette and Felicia, three Sydney-based performers who agree to take their show to the remote town of Alice Springs. Their trip soon becomes one of self-discovery, as the exotic trio overcome heartbreak and tribulations as they travel across the outback in their faithful tour bus. Priscilla disco classics include: Go West, I Say A Little Prayer, I Will Survive, Shake Your Groove Thing, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Hot Stuff.
