Chicago to Razzle Dazzle at the Garrick Theatre
| Chicago will reopen at the Garrick Theatre this autumn after finishing its run at the Cambridge Theatre to make way for Matilda the Musical. The show will move into its third West End home in early November, with full dates and cast to be announced shortly. Chicago was revived in London in 1997 and won a Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Musical Production. It played for eight-and-a-half years at the Adelphi Theatre before moving to the Cambridge in 2006. Several famous faces have appeared in Chicago - most recently the American supermodel Christie Brinkley who took over the role of ‘Roxie’ in July. | |

Murder, Fame and All That JazzShowgirl Roxie Hart commits a cold-blooded murder whilst cheating on her husband - causing quite a stir in the gossip capital that is the ‘Windy City’ of Chicago. Respect La Diva will open at the Garrick Theatre this September for a limited run. The production is a new concert show devised by Adrian Grant (the creator of the epic Michael Jackson tribute, Thriller Live!) and features five decades of uplifting music from the likes of Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin and Beyoncé Knowles. Performers include Sheila Ferguson (The Three Degrees), Denise Pearson (Five Star), Katy Setterfield (BBC1’s The One and Only) and Zoe Birkett (Pop Idol). The show will be hosted by X-Factor finalist Andy Abraham. |
