Cold Feet stars Robert Bathurst and Hermione Norris will once again play husband and wife at the Apollo Theatre next year in Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit. The pair played David and Karen Marsden in the popular drama between 1997 and 2003.

The play will see Norris make a rare return to the stage. Since leaving Cold Feet the actress has continued to focus on television projects such as ‘Wire In The Blood’ and ‘Spooks’. Bathurst, in contrast, has had a more regular London stage presence, with credits including ‘Whipping It Up’, ‘Members Only’, and ‘Alex’. 

Bathurst and Norris will join already confirmed cast member Alison Steadman, who will play an eccentric medium invited to entertain the dinner guests of Charles and Ruth Condomine. Things soon get out of hand when Madame Arcati manages to conjure the ghost of Charles’s neurotic first wife, Elvira, visible only to Charles and determined to sabotage his current marriage.
