Danielle Over The Rainbow Winner - Wizard of Oz Musical
| Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s latest reality TV show ‘Over The Rainbow’ has named Danielle as its winner to play Dorothy in the new production of The Wizard of Oz. |

| It’s been a gripping 10 weeks watching the contestants battling it out, in front of the Lord himself to win the lead role as Dorothy. Danielle Hope (18, from Manchester) pulled out all the stops to perform at the 2,300 seat London Palladium next March. The other winner of the night was Dangerous Dave, who will play Toto for a one off special performance. |

The classic tale of The Wizard of Oz was made famous by the 1939 film starring Judy Garland. The film features the well known score by EY Harburg and Harold Arlen’s, including the songs ‘We’re Off to See the Wizard’ and the Oscar winning ‘Over the Rainbow’. The show will include the songs that are well known and loved as well as new additional songs composed by Webber himself. The production will be overseen by the same creative team behind Webber’s ‘The Sound of Music’ starring his first reality TV winner Connie Fisher. The Wizard of Oz
| | The Wizard of Oz tells the story of Kansas farm girl Dorothy Gale, who suddenly finds herself in the Land of Oz after a tornado. After meeting Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, Dorothy learns in order to get home she must travel along the yellow brick road to the Emerald City, seeking the Wizard of Oz’s help. On her travels, she makes friends and enlists the help of a Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the cowardly Lion. The only thing that stands in their way is the Wicked Witch of the West, who is desperate to have Dorothy’s ruby slippers. |
Wicked – Wizard of Oz Prequel
The Land of Oz is no stranger to the West End, with the award winning musical Wicked having been a firm favourite for over 4 years.
