Grease Still the Word for Great Entertainment

Posted by Ben on Thursday 11th March 2010 at 11:59AM

After two and a half years at the Piccadilly theatre, Grease still manages to put a smile on the face of the audience. ‘Hear Say’ singer Noel Sullivan stars as ‘Danny’, whilst ‘How Do You Solve a Problem like Maria?’ finalist Siobhan Dillon plays ‘Sandy’.

Radio DJ Toby Anstis surprised many when he was unveiled as jukebox king ‘Teen Angel’ in January. The Heart presenter is currently appearing for a limited run. The role will be taken over later this month by figure skating champion Robin Cousins. The Olympic great is no stranger to the West End, having starred in Cats and The Rocky Horror Show.

Musical Comedy Inspires Today

From ‘Glee’ to ‘High School Musical’ Grease inspires the hit shows of today; but there’s still no comparison to the original and best. Young love and teenage angst, mixed with vibrant pop culture, remain perfect ingredients for a timeless story.

The Rydell High School kids head back to class. T-Bird leader Danny met someone special at the beach. Meanwhile, new girl Sandy tells the Pink Ladies about her summer romance. When Danny and Sandy come face to face, it’s just the beginning of a life-changing year. If you don’t know how it turns out, you must be a square!

Even More Cast Rumours!

No West End show has more cast rumours than Grease. The Sun newspaper reported that Peter Andre has expressed a desire to play male-lead ‘Danny’, after meeting the cast at the Piccadilly Theatre. Emma Bunton, the former Spice Girl, is also rumoured to have met with producers, who would be keen to sign her to the role of ‘Sandy’.

Grease is currently booking until September. Enjoy a great evening this month from just £25.00!
