Hadley Fraser Joins Phantom Celebrations

Les Misérables star Hadley Fraser will join the company of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall. Fraser, who is currently appearing as the tenacious police inspector ‘Javert’ at the Queens Theatre, will take the role of ‘Raoul’ for the spectacular 25th anniversary celebrations on the weekend of 1st and 2nd October 2011. He joins the previously reported leads of Ramin Karimloo (The Phantom) and Sierra Boggess (Christine) in the production - alongside Barry James (Monsieur Firmin), Gareth Snook (Monsieur André), Liz Robertson (Madame Giry) and Wynne Evans (Piangi). Additional casting sees American soprano Kiera Duffy play ‘Carlotta’, The Royal Ballet’s Sergei Polunin play ‘Slave Master’ and Daisy Maywood star as ‘Meg Giry’. Back to the Barricades! |

Hadley Fraser made his West End debut as ‘Marius’ in Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre in 2002. His other London credits include Peter Pan, The Pirates of Penzance, The Far Pavilions, Longitude and The Fantasticks. He starred as ‘Grantaire’ in the Les Misérables 25th anniversary concert at the O2 Arena in October 2010. He returned to the original production as ‘Javert’ earlier this year. His television credits include Doctor Who. He formed a band, Sheytoons, with his friend Ramin Karimloo in 2010. |
An Anniversary Show to RememberThe Royal Albert Hall will be transformed into the gothic splendour of the Paris Opera House for a fully-staged production of the world’s most popular musical. The special two-date show features a cast and orchestra of over 200 together with some special guest appearances. Love Never Dies principle Ramin Karimloo is back in the mask with his co-star Sierra Boggess playing the Phantom’s all-consuming obsession, ‘Christine Daaé’. The show is directed by Laurence Connor with Musical Staging and Choreography by Gillian Lynne. It is presented by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh. |
