After only a few months the hippy musical Hair has announced it will close after the Original Broadway cast complete their London engagement. The show opened in April to good reviews but will now take its final bow at the Gielgud Theatre on 4 September 2010.

The show has been described as infectious, outlandish and exuberant. The show has gained iconic status since erupting onto the musical theatre scene in 1967 and is responsible for many era defining songs, such as, Aquarius, Good Morning Starshine and Let The Sunshine In, as well as the title track.
