Hear'Say Star for Grease

Noel Sullivan is to take over from X-Factor’s Ray Quinn in the role of Danny in Grease this November.

Sullivan originally found success and fame in 2000 by taking part in reality show Popstars, forming the group Hear’Say. Since the split of the band in 2002 Sullivan has focused his efforts on musical theatre, appearing in Flashdance The Musical, Love Shack and What A Felling. Grease will be his West End debut.

Grease has been playing at the Piccadilly since 2007. The productions original cast was formed by reality show Grease Is The Word. Sullivan will join current cast member Emma Stephens who plays Sandy.


Grease was an overnight sensation when the 1978 film version starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John hit the screens. It has proved a popular theatre musical ever since with productions all over the world.


The story centres on new girl at Rydell High Sandy, who is thrilled when she meets Danny, her summer romance, but things soon take a turn for the worse when Danny is not the boy she remembers. The story of their romance is told by the hit songs, Sandy, You’re The One That I Want, Summer Nights and We Go Together.
