Holby City star Mark Moraghan, best known for playing Consultant "Owen Davies" in the BBC hospital drama, will join the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert as mechanic "Bob" from 07 March 2011. Moraghan joins previously announced new cast member Richard Grieve, who will play "Tick" from the same date.

Mark Moraghan’s other television roles include series regular "Ray Wyatt" in Dream Team and "Greg Shadwick" in Brookside. He was also a finalist on BBC1’s Celebrity Masterchef and Just The Two of Us. In 2009 he released his first album Moonlight’s Back In Style.

His theatre credits include Our Day Out and Funny Money for the Royal Court, Liverpool, the UK tour of Strictly Murder, Eric’s for Liverpool Everyman Theatre and Fears and Miseries of the Third Reich for the Liverpool Playhouse and the Young Vic.

An Uplifting Adventure at the Palace Theatre

Based on the memorable Oscar Award-winning film, Priscilla Queen of the Desert tells the heart-warming and uplifting story of Mitzi, Bernadette and Felicia, three Sydney-based performers who agree to take their show to the remote town of Alice Springs. Their trip soon becomes one of self-discovery, as the exotic trio overcome heartbreak and tribulations as they travel across the outback in their faithful tour bus.

A Broadway production of the musical will open in March with previews starting on 28 February 2011. Priscilla disco classics include: Go West, I Say A Little Prayer, I Will Survive, Shake Your Groove Thing, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Hot Stuff.
