Jersey Boys to Enjoy a Sunday Lie-In

Hit jukebox musical Jersey Boys will enjoy a weekend lie-in with BroadwayWorld.com reporting that Sunday performances at the Prince Edward Theatre will begin at the later time of 5pm from Sunday 05th June 2011. The temporary change to the schedule, taking advantage of the long summer days, will last for 13 weeks through to Sunday 28th August. Tuesday and Saturday matinees will continue to be performed from 3pm, whilst Tuesday to Saturday evening shows will continue at 7.30pm.

Starring Ryan Molloy and S Club 7’s Jon Lee

Ryan Molloy continues to star as “Frankie Valli”, alternating the leading part with Jon Lee, one of the original members of pop group S Club 7. The Jersey Boys cast also includes Matthew Wycliffe (Bob Gaudio), Jon Boydon (Tommy DeVito) and Eugene McCoy (Nick Massi).

His other stage credits include Jerry Springer the Opera, On the Town and the Godspell UK tour. Jon Lee Official Website Jon Lee achieved chart-topping success as a member S Club 7. The group were managed by Simon Fuller (who also managed the Spice Girls) and rose to fame in the late 1990s with their own BBC television series. They won BRIT awards in 2000 for British breakthrough act and in 2002 for best British single. After S Club 7 disbanded, Lee returned to his childhood roots of musical theatre, appearing in West End productions of Les Misérables and Fame.

The musical opened in London in 2008 and has been seen by over 1.5 million theatregoers.
