Inquisitive lion cub Simba is the pride of his parents, the King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. When his evil uncle Scar lures Mufasa to his death so that he can take over the crown, Simba is tricked into believing that he is responsible and flees the Pride Lands in shame. Things look bleak for our young hero until he stumbles on a couple of new friends - a plucky meerkat named Timon and a flatulent warthog named Pumbaa - who teach Simba the value of friendship and the eternity of life.
