Joseph extends... at last!
Joseph has at last confirmed that it is extending until July 2009, but a replacement for Lee Mead in the title role still hasn’t been announced so watch this space. If the rumour mongers are to be believed, the main competition is between Zac Efron, Peter Andre or Blue Peter’s Gethin Jones. UK Tickets thinks it is pretty safe to brush these little theories under the carpet. More recently, Gareth Gates and former Busted singer Matt Willis have been thrown into the mix, and a rumour that Peter Andre will take over as Joseph, bringing Katie Price along to act as narrator is currently doing the rounds.
Rumours are also abounding as to Lee Mead’s post-Joseph activities. A touring production of the other Lloyd Webber biblical musical Jesus Christ Superstar has been mentioned, but a revival of the hit 1970’s musical Billy seems more likely.
