|
Lee Mead will give his final performance as 'Fiyero' in Wicked on Saturday 05 February 2011, according to an article on BroadwayWorld.com that reminds fans that the clock is ticking for a chance to see the star in action! After winning the BBC talent series ‘Any Dream Will Do’, Mead was awarded the title role in the 2007 revival of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ at the Adelphi Theatre. After great acclaim, and a subsequent role in a touring production of Oscar Wilde’s ‘Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime’, he made his Wicked debut in May 2010 alongside Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman. |

Mead was recently nominated in this year's Whatsonstage.com Awards for 'Best Takeover in a Role' for his performances in the show. By a twist of fate, he goes head to head with his wife, Denise Van Outen, for the prize. Van Outen was nominated in recognition for her takeover as 'Paulette' in Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre. Mead will continue his solo tour after leaving Wicked, with a number of dates scheduled around the UK, performing material from his albums as well as some classic songs from the shows. |
