Legally Blonde Tour Cast Revealed

Legally Blonde the Musical is embarking on its first national tour later this year and casting has now been revealed. The hilarious show is based on the hit 2001 movie starring Reese Witherspoon, and will be led by Tony Award-winning director and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray the Musical). |
Tour Details AnnouncedThe Legally Blonde Tour begins at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in July before calling at venues in Bristol, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stoke, Birmingham, Manchester, Torquay, Nottingham and Sunderland. Faye Brooks is the Homecoming QueenFaye Brooks (Grease in the West End) stars as Homecoming Queen “Elle Woods”, the bubbly blonde heroine who follows her ex-boyfriend across the country to Harvard Law School to prove just how ambitious she can be too. Ex-Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon takes the role of “Paulette”, Elle’s confidant when the going gets tough. Neil Toon (Les Misérables in the West End) is the callous “Warner Huntington III”, Iwan Lewis (Fame in the West End, Passion at the Donmar Warehouse) plays handsome attorney “Emmett” and Dave Willetts (Les Misérables, Phantom of The Opera, Sunset Boulevard all in the West End) is blunt "Professor Callaghan". The West End’s Best New MusicalCollege sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her to pursue his serious studies, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School accompanied by her beloved Chihuahua, Bruiser. Legally Blonde the Musical opened at London’s Savoy Theatre in January 2010 with Sheridan Smith in the role of Elle Woods. The show was nominated for five Olivier Awards, winning Best New Musical, Best Actress for Smith and Best Supporting Role in a Musical for her co-star Jill Halfpenny. |
