Legally Blonde's New Elle Revealed

It's been revealed that 'Grease is the Word' winner Susan McFadden (sister of former Westlife star Brian) will replace Sheridan Smith as the lead role of 'Elle Woods' in the hit musical Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre. The ITV talent show star has been a member of the Legally Blonde cast, playing sorority girl 'Serena', since the London musical opened in December 2009. She became the show's alternate lead in October 2010 and will take over from the much-loved Sheridan Smith, beginning 10 January 2011. |

Starring Denise Van Outen and Simon ThomasSusan McFadden joins the principle cast alongside Denise Van Outen, who joined the show in November as beautician 'Paulette', and former Hollyoaks star Carly Stenson as 'Margot'. Royal Shakespeare Company star Simon Thomas plays Elle's ex-boyfriend 'Warner Huntington III', Alex Gaumond is new love interest 'Emmett', whilst veteran stage actor Peter Davison plays the fearsome 'Professor Callahan'. |
