"Will and Grace" star Leslie Jordan will bring his Off-Broadway show My Trip Down the Pink Carpet to the West End's Apollo Theatre, for a run in February 2011. The autobiographical show sees the Emmy Award-winning star explore his life as a performer moving from small-town USA to the pink carpet of Hollywood, with a personal take on Hollywood, fame, addiction, gay culture and learning to love oneself. |

A Trip Down the Pink CarpetJordan, who is best known for his "Will and Grace" performance as the pretentious Beverley Leslie, nemesis of the eccentric Karen Walker, has also appeared on TV's "Ally McBeal," "Boston Legal," "Monk," "Murphy Brown" and "Sordid Lives." My Trip Down the Pink Carpet tells how Jordan, raised in a conservative family in Chattanooga,boarded a Greyhound bus bound for L.A. with just $1,200 sewn into his underpants. There he found fame and fortune, but not without some hilarious adventures along the way! My Trip Down the Pink Carpet is directed by David Galligan, with designs by Michael Hotopp, lighting by David Howe and sound by Richard Brooker. |
