Lion King Seen by Half a Million Schoolchildren!

Disney’s The Lion King reached another milestone this weekend as the musical welcomed its 500,000th school pupil under an education program that gives primary and secondary schools the chance to discover more about the making of the show. |

Record Attendances by School GroupsThe last 12 months have seen The Lion King celebrate record attendances from school groups at the Lyceum Theatre. Over 67,000 students saw the show between October 2009 and September 2010, with the best attended month being June, with over 10,000 visits. The 500,000th pupil was part of a group of sixth form students from a Leicester college. Following the performance the class were treated to a backstage tour and met some of the cast. |
