Love Never Dies Top 10
| The Love Never Dies soundtrack has gone straight in at Number 10 on the Official UK Album chart. |
The Soundtrack
Love Never Dies opened to good reviews last week, with many newspapers giving the show 4 or 5 stars. To co-inside with the world premiere the soundtrack to the show was released the same week. Recently recorded, the double disc soundtrack features every song in the show as well as some key speaking parts. This is not the first time a Phantom soundtrack has been in the charts. The Phantom of the Opera’s soundtrack was released in 1987 and became an instant number one hit, making it the first in British musical history to enter the charts at number one. Andrew Lloyd Webber is probably hoping the Love Never Dies album will be as successful, with the first Phantom soundtrack exceeding sales of over forty million worldwide, making it is the biggest selling cast album of all time.
Love Never Dies
Love Never Dies, the outstanding new musical from the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber. Marketed as ‘Phantom: The Story Continues…’ Lover Never Dies follows on from the successful world wide hit The Phantom Of The Opera. It must be stressed at this point though, it is not compulsory to see the first to enjoy Love Never Dies, but it would definitely help with your enjoyment and involvement in the show. Love Never Dies is set on Coney Island, ten years after the disappearance of the Phantom from the Paris Opera house. The turning point in the show is when Christine Daeé arrives for the first time with her husband Raoul and son Gustav, the show starts to pick up pace. Soon Christine, played by Sierra Boggess, is back with the Phantom, played by Ramin Karimloo and they perform the outstanding new songs ‘Beneath A Moonless Sky’ and ‘Once Upon Another Time’.
