A Dark Morality CheckMary and Peter, a self-obsessed married couple, are embracing a life of hard work and affluence. Seeking the perfect family, they decide to adopt a Chinese girl (because Chinese children win at music competitions). They have bought a piano but it has become the hiding place for their cigarettes and alcohol. Fast-living Mark, the divorced husband of one of Mary’s friends, arrives for dinner with 21-year-old Paula, his new ‘special friend’. As the evening nosedives into drunken debauchery, it becomes clear that in the age of ‘having it all’ you can actually end up with nothing at all. The Leisure Society Tickets Coming Soon. |
