Much Ado About Nothing, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate, is now open for previews at the Wyndham's Theatre prior to an official opening night on Wednesday 01st June 2011. The keenly-anticipated production sees the two stars appear on stage together for the very first time, although fans of Doctor Who will remember that both actors shared several episodes of the hit sci-fi series (Tennant as "The Doctor" and Tate as recurring character "Donna Noble"). Tickets are selling quickly and bookings are now being taken until Saturday 03rd September 2011.

Catherine Tate Catherine Tate recently starred at the National Theatre in Alan Ayckbourne's comedy 'Season's Greetings'. Her other West End credits include David Eldridge's 'Under the Blue Sky' at the Duke of York's Theatre in 2008, and Neil La Bute's 'Some Girls' at the Gielgud Theatre in 2005. On television her self-titled sketch show - 'The Catherine Tate Show' - was broadcast for three hugely popular series by the BBC. Her film credits include 'The Monte Carlo Story' and 'Gulliver's Travels'.
David Tennant David Tennant has won numerous awards for his West End performances, including the Critics' Circle Award for Best Shakesperian Performance for his leading role in the Royal Shakespeare Company's 2008 production of 'Hamlet', also starring Sir Patrick Stewart. On television he is best known for playing the tenth version of 'The Doctor' in the hit BBC sci-fi series 'Doctor Who'. His film credits include 'Bright Young Things' and 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'.

Opposites Attract in Shakespeare's Brilliant Comedy

Much Ado About Nothing is presented in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions and is directed by Josie Rourke (Believe What You Will and King John for the RSC). William Shakespeare's brilliant comedy tells the tale of two young lovers, Claudio and Hero, who are set to be married until the devious scheming of a resentful Prince seems certain to thwart the nuptials. Meanwhile, marriage seems inconceivable for reluctant lovers Beatrice (Catherine Tate) and Benedick (David Tennant) whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever.
