Never Forget on the move after Savoy run

One of this year’s biggest musical successes, Never Forget, will not be extending its run at the Savoy after 15 November 2008, it has been announced. However, this is only to make way for Kim Poster’s new production of Carousel, performances of which begin on 21 November 2009 after a pre-West End UK tour.

Never Forget has not yet announced a new venue, but the overwhelming reaction to the show has meant that it is looking for a similar sized venue to the 1,158 seater Savoy. Producers are also currently casting a second company to embark on a third touring production to launch in Manchester in 2009. The tour will run concurrently with the West End production.

Never Forget’s proposed run at its new home is currently open ended., “We’ve had an amazing critical response and the public are loving it,” said Tristan Baker, the show’s producer, “so we want to keep the show going in the West End as long as people want to keep seeing it.”
