Nick Jonas Cancels Matinee Performance
American star Nick Jonas has cancelled his performance in today’s Matinee showing (21 July 2010) of Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre. |
Posting on his Twitter page “Hey everyone... I woke up this morning with a sore throat, and no voice. I will not be able to perform in the matinee of Les Mis today. For those of you who have travelled from really far away to see me in the show I am truly sorry. Thank you for understanding everyone. Hopefully I'll be alright for the second show tonight. Love you all”. | |
The announcement will leave many of Jonas’ teenage fans, who have shown unprecedented support for the star since he started performances in June, disappointed. It is reported that no refunds will be given. Understudy Alistair Brammer has already shown signs of being nervous performing this afternoon by stating “On as Marius today. Sorry I'm not Nick, please don't boo me! It’s not my fault! X”. Jonas originally signed up for a limited three week run in the show, but extended until the 24 July 2010 after the Jonas Brothers Tour was re-scheduled. He is also due to appear at the special 25th Anniversary concert of the show at the O2 Arena in October. |
