Oliver! + UK Tickets = £1 million
UK Tickets have achieved over £1 million in ticket sales for Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. To mark this outstanding achievement, UK Tickets' Nicci went backstage at the opulent venue to award a cheque to the show’s star Jodie Prenger.
Thrilled
In her enormous dressing room, Jodie was thrilled to receive the cheque, saying, "I really appreciate everything UK Tickets does for the show."

Jodie won a legion of fans during her time on the BBC talent search I'd Do Anything, through which she won the role of Nancy. The show also found three Olivers in Gwion Jones, Harry Stott and Laurence Jeffcoate. Harry and Gwion are still appearing in the show, alternating with two other young performers.
Comedy legend
When it was announced that Jodie would be performing alongside British comedy legend Rowan Atkinson as Fagin, thousands flocked to the box office. Oliver! smashed Dirty Dancing’s record and achieved the fastest ticket sales in West End history.
Rave reviews
Oliver! was hit from the start, and received a further boost when it officially opened to rave reviews. The London press deemed the show to be 'terrific entertainment', 'amazing', 'so enjoyable' and a 'humdinger of a night'. Praise was not saved exclusively for the performers, as the entire production is dripping with star quality.
Spectacular
It is easily the most spectacular version of Oliver! ever staged. Using the full depth of the Drury Lane stage, lawns, fields and entire streets are created. The huge company makes London scenes buzz with realism. The fantastic direction and technology makes scene changes so slick the audience barely notices.
A staunch supporter of the show, it is little wonder that UK Tickets have achieved such a remarkable figure for one show in such a short time. Still playing to packed houses, Oliver! is currently booking until February 2011 and you can grab your tickets here.
