When the Game Ends and Life Begins

Pippin is a pop-rock musical with a book by Roger O. Hirson and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked). The coming-of-age story follows the adventures of Pippin, heir to the throne of Charlemagne, who has ambitions of doing something astonishing but finds that fate’s twists and turns lead his life in unexpected directions. Director Mitch Sebastian’s contemporary revival transports the action into a cyberspace world, with spectacular designs by Timothy Bird and costumes from Jean-Marc Puissant.
